"[Maxwell] is very fun and pretty hilarious, but actually teaches well, this is probably because he is so engaging with the students, best econ professor I have had definitely."
"I am a senior and taking 9 hours this semester. Despite this course being my earliest class (at 8:20am), it is the only class that I actually go to. Maxwell has fostered an engaging and positive learning environment, so much so that I enjoy coming to class even though attendance is not mandatory. This is also one of the only classes that I actually have ever spoken at Texas A&M and Maxwell is the second professor I have ever had that actually knows my name."
"[Maxwell] has been one of my favorite professors this semester and in past semesters when I had him as a TA. He does a great job of making the class engaging and fun for all students by creating fun alternative ways to learn. I would greatly recommend his classes to future students considering taking his courses."
"This course covers some challenging topics. That being said, it was clear that Maxwell had a deep understanding for the material and was able to effectively teach it to our class."
"Max is my favorite professor I've had while at TAMU. He understands his audience since he is also a student, and his lectures are engaging and interesting. I never thought I would look forward to going to a lecture about public finance, but every class he makes even the most boring concepts interesting. He has a great sense of humor and it keeps everyone's attention during lecture. [...] Again, its not because of the material, but Max's teaching that keeps the class interesting."

Maxwell does a great job at connecting course content to current events and introducing info from outside the textbook encouraging student to think outside the predefined rules.
Maxwell did a great job of presenting a neutral perspective on multiple sides of issues and also raising concerns within specific markets and areas of the economy.
Maxwell was one of my favorite instructors. He was engaging and also realistic with us as students. He made an active effort to engage with us and help us understand material beyond the surface level. He helped me make connections throughout my economics career and really tie material together.
I really enjoyed the way Maxwell taught. This class was challenging and pushed us and helped us think more creatively. I better developed my problem solving skills and ability to understand a large volume of material.
Mr. Bullard is one of the best economics instructor I've ever had the privilege to be taught by. He has an obvious passion for economics, of course, but the quality of his instruction goes beyond that. He clearly cares about his students and wants us to succeed not by merely learning the material or getting a good grade but by preparing us for future careers. The way he structured a major class project forces us to think like analysts and look at how public policy affects industries in which we may soon find ourselves working. I highly value this as a learning opportunity for myself and how much it can help prepare other students for when they enter the workforce. I really admire the way he balances pushing us to think critically and learn really rigorous material while also being encouraging [...] with people learning something new. He does a great job of incorporating his research into examples so we get a variety of ways research methods are applied across subjects while also adding a personal connection to hold our attention. Not every researcher is a great instructor so its really amazing that Mr. Bullard is talented at both getting students to care and apply themselves to the material as well as doing such amazing research in what is clearly an important but often overlooked area of family economics.
